Norma Edith Hernandez: I am a conceptual artist and animator. My goal is to start my own studio in which I will design and create my own online shop that sells graphic shirts, clothing, toys, gifts, and accessories for all ages with fun characters that each have their own story to tell via comics and mini-animated episodes. I was born in Fountain Valley, California then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada when I was four. I’ve been drawing and making up my own short stories and characters since I was three years old. I love using art as a form of expression and a way to tell a story. There is nothing like making a kid smile, or say ‘Wow!’ when they see a cool toy, cartoon, or hear an exciting story. I want to make a child or preteen or even a teenager smile or say ‘cool’ or ‘how cute!’ when they see my stuff. Since I graduated high school in 2007, I’ve been perfecting my craft, using different medias and technology to design and color my ideas on paper or on a program’s canvas. Despite my time in college coming to a close soon, I feel I still have so much to learn and experience and am very excited to get out in the real world.
